Winslow Anderson Collection of Haitian Art (2004)This full-color catalog from West Virginia features a cover with a wonderful painting from 1956 by Rigaud Benoit among other masterpieces. All works were collected by American artist Winslow Anderson during his travels to haiti from 1949 to 1966. Anderson befriended De Witt Peters, director of the Seminal Centre d'art in Port-au-Prince. Color images of strong paintings by Montas Antoine, Castera Bazile, Wilmino Domond, Hector Hyppolite, Jasmin Joseph, Micius Stephane and Seneque Obin are featured in snapshot size. Much smaller color images of the entire collection are pictured at the back.
