Sequined surfaces: Haitian Voudon Flags (2001)This is a full-color brochure on cardboard stock paper which folds out to three pages with copy and color photos on both sides, plus a one-page insert that lists all 51 voodoo flags from this important three-year travelling show. The flags are from the personal collection of this website's owner Candice Russell. This show visited museums in the U.S. and Canada from 2001 to 2003. Russell writes an explanatory essay about the flags, from their origins to motifs and role in Vodou ceremonies. Six stunning sacred textiles are pictured in color. $5.00
